Over 100 participants, speakers and volunteers joined The Women’s Employment Opportunity Project, Mother’s Voices of Georgia and the East Point Community Action Team in celebrating Women’s History Month at the 2nd Annual “From a Woman’s Perspective” conference on March 14, 2008 at the Atlanta Technical College.
Headlining the event was Michele Hoskins, founder and CEO of Michele Foods. Hoskins shared wisdom learned during her remarkable rise from economic hardship to entrepreneurial success. A truly inspiring woman, Michele’s frank keynote address was followed by an open question and answer session when she fielded questions from the audience on a range of topics.

The conference also featured a phenomenal line up of speakers! The morning panel featured: Sandra Murillo Weber of Turner Broadcasting System; Ann Wilson Cramer of IBM; Dr. Elizabeth Ford of DeKalb County Board of Health; Dr. Folami Prescott-Adams of HomeMade Jamz Productions; and Paulette Lewis of Region IV Women's Bureau, U.S. Department of Labor. The afternoon included other dynamic speakers such as Nancy J. Lewis of Progressive Techniques, Valerie Hoff of 11 Alive News, Faye Adams Taylor of Taylor-Made Productions, Vic Bolton of Affiliated Media and Wanda Johnson of LeadershipMatters!
Mark you calendar for next year’s “From a Woman’s Perspective” conference in March 2009!
